K. David Fong uses mirrors, LED lights, and electroluminescent tape to create magnificent illusions of infinite space. Two of his creations, Windows and Open Portals, are currently on display at Artisphere in Rosslyn, VA and I had the pleasure of viewing them yesterday afternoon. They are truly amazing. Each piece looks like a large framed window and whether the piece is lying on the ground or hanging from the ceiling when you look inside, the space continues on forever.

The first image below is a photo that I took while in the exhibit which shows that the pieces are actually flat. I have also pasted three images from Fong’s webpage that demonstrate the dimension Fong created with the mirrors and lighting.
